With deep sorrow we announce the passing of María Cristina Rodríguez Pérez, who left us on 23 March 2026 at the Hospital Santa Cristina in Madrid.
Cristina was a deeply loved person, remembered for her generosity, joy and strength. Her life was marked by sacrifice for her family, her fortitude and her tireless work, as well as by her extraordinary ability to inspire, care, unite and educate. Over the years she left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, especially through the dedication and love with which she raised her children.
Born in Palacios de Benaber (Burgos), she devoted her life to her family and to her profession. She will always be remembered by her loved ones as the cornerstone, the person who kept the Martínez Rodríguez family together with love, firmness and generosity.
She is remembered with immense affection by her husband, children, grandchildren, friends and her in-laws in Poland, who will honour her memory with eternal love.

The farewell ceremony was held on 24 March at 20:00 at the funeral home in Villarcayo.
Today we do not say goodbye, but farewell until forever.
